Decyl glucoside is a mild, plant-derived, non-ionic surfactant commonly used in personal care and cleaning products. It is known for its gentle cleansing, foaming, and emulsifying properties, making it ideal for sulfate-free formulations. Derived from natural sources like coconut oil and sugar, it is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Decyl glucoside is often found in shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, baby care products, and eco-friendly household cleaners, offering effective cleansing without stripping moisture from the skin or hair.

Decyl Glucoside is a gentle, non-ionic surfactant widely used in personal care and cleaning products. It's derived from renewable resources like coconut oil and corn starch, making it a popular choice for natural and eco-friendly formulations. Its mildness makes it suitable for sensitive skin and baby products, while its cleansing and foaming properties are valued in shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers. Here's a more detailed look:
Natural Origin:Decyl Glucoside is made from glucose (derived from corn starch) and decyl alcohol (from coconut oil or palm kernel oil).
Mildness:It's known for its gentle cleansing action, making it suitable for sensitive skin and baby products.
Biodegradability:Its plant-based origin and biodegradability contribute to its appeal in eco-friendly formulations.
Versatility:Decyl Glucoside acts as a surfactant, meaning it helps reduce surface tension between liquids and oils, allowing for effective cleansing. It also has foaming and conditioning properties

As a new mild green surfactant, MEGA-12 has many outstanding advantages:
a c Excellent performance, with good surface activity, thickening, emulsifying, washing, etc.
a c Compared with amide products which contain ethanolamine, MEGA-12 is without free amine. It has good hydrophily because of 5 hydroxyl, no abnormal smell, good compatibility with skin.
a c Has high surface activity at the critical micelle concentration
a c In heavy duty liquid detergent, it can replace LAS (Linear Alklybezene Sulfonate) and AE (Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates). MEGA-12 performs very well when mixed with AES (Sodium Alcohol Ether Sulphate).
a c It can replace nonionic surfactant 6501 (Coconut Diethanol Amide/CDEA, CAS: 68603-42-9) and cationic surfactant 1631 (Cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(bromide), CAS: 112-02-7).
a c Its detergency is better than APG (Alkyl Glucosides), above the average level.
a c Its foam is delicate and stable, better than the foam of ethoxylated fatty alcohols, close to the foam of anionic surfactants.
a c Mild, low irritation to skin and hair.
a c It is environmentally friendly and very safe to the environment and living things, up to 98-99% biodegradable.

Application: Widely used in washing products, cosmetics, personal care products, foods, pesticides, biochemical industries.

Mega 12 (N-dodecanoyl-N-methyl-D-glucamine)
is a molecule with a long chain of 12 carbon atoms (dodecanoyl) attached to the nitrogen of N-methyl-D-glucamine. It's a type of surfactant, a molecule that can help dissolve substances that don't normally mix, like oil and water. N-dodecanoyl-N-methyl-D-glucamine is also an example of a nonionic surfactant, meaning it doesn't carry an electrical charge.
Key characteristics of N-dodecanoyl-N-methyl-D-glucamine:N-methyl-D-glucamine: This part of the molecule is a sugar derivative with a methyl group attached to the nitrogen. It's a hydrophilic (water-attracting) part.
Dodecanoyl: This is a long, hydrophobic (water-repelling) fatty acid chain. Surfactant properties: The combination of the hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts makes it a surfactant, allowing it to emulsify oil and water, and it's also biodegradable.
Applications of N-dodecanoyl-N-methyl-D-glucamine:Cosurfactant: It's used in various formulations, including washing powder, liquid detergents, dishwashing detergents, and cleaning products. Enhancing surfactant performance: It can improve the performance of other surfactants in these formulations. Other potential uses: It might be used in agriculture as an adjuvant for herbicides and pesticides, or as a food additive for emulsifiers.
